This air conditioned suite, which sits at the property’s highest vantage point and offers breathtaking valley views, is ideal for a couple or 2 friends.  A sense of seclusion and privacy is amplified by a private entry surrounded by lush gardens.  The king size bed and sheer white canopy, a wood-paneled walk-in closet and lavish marble bathroom with freestanding shower all contribute to the utmost comfort of this spiritual sanctuary.

The Ananda Villa

The Sanskrit translation of Ananda is “bliss, the transcendent state of profound well-being,

perfect happiness, and serene contentment.”

This two-story air conditioned Villa, is divided into 2 suites. The Ground Level Suite welcomes you with three full sized beds, a sitting room with couches, a writing desk, and a professionally designed contemporary marble bathroom with a spectacular outdoor garden shower. 

The open platform stairway leads to the Upstairs Suite, with two full sized beds and featuring spectacular views of the valley vistas, dual walk in closets, a luxurious bathroom, and a writing desk.

The Sattva Suite

This air conditioned suite, which opens to an outdoor garden with a covered pagoda, is accessed via a private entry on the ground floor.  Perfect for couples and friends alike; Sattva offers a substantial dressing area, dual walk in closets, a writing table, and a lavish marble bathroom with freestanding rain shower.  Contemporary Balinese décor welcomes with teak furniture, authentic artefacts and hand-loomed fabrics.

The Sundara Suite

The Sanskrit translation of Sundara is “lovely, indicating the radiance of both inner and outer beauty.”

This tranquil air conditioned suite was created to showcase the distinctive charm of traditional Balinese décor.  The hand-carved Java doors open into a brightly colored space adorned with exuberantly crafted Balinese and Madura furnishings.  The intricately carved wood, locally sourced shells, and traditional fabric harmonize with the Balinese architecture of Villa Selat.  Sundara offers an outdoor deep soaking stone bathtub and rain shower allowing guests to harmonize with their surroundings.

The King’s Room

The King’s Room is a beautifully-constructed Uma Tidor conical hut; truly representing its Timorese roots by being “consistent but diversified.”

This suite was built with the adventurer in mind. A play between outdoor living and traditional interiors, this cliff side suite overlooks the jungle below and offers the sounds of a babbling brook and the sounds of Balinese nature. The King’s Room offers a private outdoor rain shower with living wall overlooking the vast jungle allowing guests to harmonize with their surroundings. Although not air conditioned, there is a fan available and the evening breezes are delightful.

To reserve your space either payment in full (save $100) or a $500 non-refundable deposit with 2 additional scheduled payments is required. If you are sharing with another person, both people need register in order to hold your room. Please include the name of the person you are sharing with in your message and which Suite you are reserving. September 8-12 Amed Beach Retreat Add-On

On September 8, we will travel east through the rice-terraced countryside, and arrive in Amed for 4 days.  Located on the East side of Bali, Amed is renowned for its clear turquoise water and abundant marine life, making it one of Bali’s best spots for snorkeling and diving.  You can snorkel right from shore.  It’s a place of beautiful sunsets, warm waters and delicious seafood.  It is a quiet beach town lined with fishing boats and small hotels.

We will stay at a beautiful seafront hotel, nestled on the shore of the Indian Ocean, and immediately next door to our snorkel/dive operators.  Indonesia is home to some of the best SCUBA and snorkeling in the world, with pristine ocean conditions for viewing sea life.

Exciting News:  You DO NOT need to know how to SCUBA dive if you would like to participate in this beautiful opportunity to see an underwater playground in paradise.  There is a special resort course offered with our expert dive team.  Choose from Snorkeling, diving with a C-card (e.g. PADI), or a Fun Dive for beginners without certification.

AIR TRAVEL

The airport in Bali is Denpasar International Airport (DPS).  There are several airlines that fly to Denpasar.  As Indonesia is a long way from the United States, there are no direct flights to Bali.  Most flights go through Singapore.  It is a very long travel journey.   One of the more comfortable airlines is Singapore Airlines.  Their Economy class is quite comfortable and it is recommended that you pay for “extra leg room” option.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• As of September 2023, there are no Covid vaccine requirements for entry into Indonesia.

• You must have a valid passport good at least 6 months beyond your arrival date.

• There is a Visa requirement to enter Bali.  We will send you a link for the e-Visa and instructions.

AIRPORT VIP SERVICE -

For a nominal fee, you may arrange to be greeted by a VIP agent at the airport who will facilitate your entry into Bali.  You will be fast-tracked through customs and immigration.   If for any reason your luggage is delayed, they will act as translator to ensure your bag makes it to our villa.   This agent can also assist with options such as visa extension, sim card purchasing, immigration assistance, luggage retrieval, money changing and escorting you to the Blue Bird taxi stand.

TAXI SERVICE TO VILLA

We recommend Blue Bird Taxi service, which has a booth prominently displayed at the exit of immigration, before you exit the airport.  You will not miss the signs.  The ride to the villa is approximately $35 US  Make sure you have the address and phone number of the villa incase the driver needs to call the villa for directions.
