Take your teaching to the next level

This 10-hr continuing education workshop is designed to deepen your understanding of asana, refine your skills in the classroom, and inspire your teaching. Each day will include a practice incorporating alignment principles, asana assessments, and applied anatomy. The weekend will focus on developing your eye and cultivating your ability to teach what you see, not what you know. Learn how to polish your instructions in order to let your teaching shine through. Over the course of the workshop, we will cover asana, teaching methodology, and sequencing. Open Q+A will give you the chance to delve deeper into your relationship with both your practice and your teaching, and offer Insights into how to advance your teaching to the next level. Bring your questions, as well as pen and paper.

Each day will begin with an advanced, intelligent asana practice designed to foster your growth as a practitioner and teacher. We will focus on in-depth asana mechanics, intuitive sequencing, skillful and articulate instructions, and applied anatomy. Posture labs, hands-on adjustments, and open, honest conversations about yoga, and best teaching practices will offer a rich exploration into the art of teaching. You will receive individualized attention in your practice, as well as have the opportunity to ask questions.

Bill, a native of Northern New Jersey, has been practicing yoga since 2007. His early love of nature landed him a kayaking instructor position creating long hours in beautiful places but in cramped conditions. Wanting to enjoy all of his time on the water he took the advice of a friend to try yoga. After years of enjoying the physical benefits of yoga the practice started taking on a different meaning. Wanting to explore this further he enrolled in EverYoga Teacher Training at Highland Yoga in Butler, NJ where he completed his 200 RYT in 2015. His life experiences, influences as a nature photographer, and daily practice of yoga create a unique perspective that he enjoys sharing on and off the mat.
